Grow Your Tree in The Right Direction

Have you ever seen those sad trees that seem to have taken a beating or at least a strong pressure during their formative years?    They are bent over as if they caught polio for trees when they were young.   In trees it may be regarded as a slight thing to be slavishly bent over paying constant homage to the ground,  but in people like you and me it is another thing entirely.    I believe all mankind was and is created with a spark of the divine,  also known as created in God's image.  When we lose sight of that we will grow into a gnarled,  knotted former shadow of what we could have been.    In the life that God wants for each of us we are in His presence, speaking to Him,  happy to be spoken to by Him.    Every time we run from God(also known as sin),  we are growing our tree into the bent, misshapen disaster that all of us are doomed to if no reconciliation takes place.    Jesus is truly your sunshine, water,  and carbon dioxide.  To get all the properties correct for photosynthesis you must have this combination or you will first grow awkwardly and eventually die in a twisted shell that was not meant for you.   The most famous verse in The Holy Bible is this:  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3 :16 NIV.    These words are words of love to any that wishes to turn from sin,  take Jesus by the hand, and begin growing upward,  receiving light and love from the creator of the Universe.     Of course there are naysayers out there who will think my little metaphor about stunted trees is just a bunch of rubbish,  but it is a very sad risk to take.    So in closing,  you are invited  to join your fellow saplings in growing up strong through Christ Jesus.
